Entry to the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Dental Science degrees is based on three selection criteria :

• Academic performance
• Performance in a written test (UMAT or ISAT)
• Performance in an interview (in person or by telephone) - the purpose is to assess the attributes necessary for these professions such as motivation, commitment and critical thinking
• Application procedures vary for onshore and offshore students in the current year.
